Valencia is so beautiful, it’s not enough to get one bird’s eye view of the historic old town. Which is why I didn’t just climb the cathedral bell tower, when I was there, I also climbed up the old city gate.
At the end of a busy street, right next to the dried-up river, which is now a long, green park, you can find the old town gate and go in for a small fee.
And from the top, you can see the old town, the church towers and all the tiny people walking underneath the palm trees and sitting in the cafes.
